Swimming lesson prices
Swimming season September 2026 to June 2027
Regular lessons
Our regular swimming lessons are designed for children from age 3 who want to earn their Zwem-ABC (the Dutch national swimming diplomas) step by step. These lessons take place on Monday, Thursday and Saturday in Arnhem: on Monday and Thursday from 16:45 to 19:00 and on Saturday from 8:45 to 14:00. In small groups of seven children on average, every child gets the full attention they deserve.

Conditions:
* Lesson time based on 45 minutes. Cancellable monthly with one month’s notice.
* The monthly prices above are based on 37 lesson weeks in which we are open during the 2026–2027 swimming season. We are closed during school holidays and bank holidays. These days are not included in the monthly fee. You pay a fixed monthly amount for the lessons, including in weeks without a lesson.

Special needs lessons
Sometimes a regular swimming lesson is not enough. That is why Zwemschool De Piranha offers special needs swimming lessons for children from age 3 who need extra help, in groups of five children on average. These lessons are designed for children who find it harder, such as children with a fear of water, a disability, behavioural challenges, ADHD or delayed motor development. Our special needs lessons take place at our location in Velp, every Wednesday between 15:15 and 18:45. We use visual instruction cards, so the children can see what each exercise is. This way we make sure every swimmer feels safe and can grow, with lots of patience and respect.

Private lessons
Would you like yourself or your child to learn to swim in peace and with full personal attention? Then choose our private swimming lessons. These lessons are 1-to-1 or in a small group of up to 3 participants and are adapted to the pace and needs of the swimmer. They are for children aged three and older, and adults are very welcome too. Ideal if you need extra confidence, want to make faster progress or simply prefer individual lessons. Private lessons are possible at our location in Arnhem or – if you have your own pool – at your home. These lessons are offered on Tuesday and Friday between 16:45 and 19:30, and parents are very welcome to stay and watch.

Adult lessons
At Zwemschool De Piranha we help adults earn their Zwem-ABC after all, in a safe, calm and respectful way. Our adult lessons take place at our location in Arnhem: Monday 19:00-19:45, Thursday 18:15-19:00 and Friday 19:30-20:15. Women-only groups are also possible. In small groups of six people on average, you are taught by patient and experienced instructors who understand that everyone learns at their own pace. Whether you want to overcome your fear, improve your technique or learn to swim for the first time — you are very welcome. Lessons in Dutch, English, Spanish and Papiamento.

Holiday swimming lessons are paid separately and are not included in the regular lesson fee. Register for holiday and snorkelling lessons.
