Zwemschool De Piranha

We consider it important, partly in view of recent European privacy legislation, that your data is handled with care, and we ensure that the personal information you provide to us is treated confidentially. In short, our privacy statement comes down to this: we use your personal data only for the purposes for which we collect it, we will not share it with others unless otherwise stated in this privacy statement, and we keep it carefully secured.

Personal data
Your personal data includes not only your name, address and place of residence, your date of birth, telephone number and email address, but also all other personal data that you make available to us in connection with our services.

Purposes

We do not collect or use your personal data for any purposes other than those described in this privacy statement, unless we have obtained your consent in advance. We process your personal data in order to be able to (continue to) provide our services to you, which in any case includes: swimming lessons.
We will not process your personal data any further than is necessary to achieve the aforementioned purposes.

We process your personal data because this is necessary for the performance of the (digital) agreement that you enter into with us regarding our services. After all, without this personal data we are unable to provide our services.

Recipients
Only those within our organisation for whom it is necessary to receive your personal data have access to it. In addition to the staff of Zwemschool De Piranha, these are the administration office Claudia van Braak Office Services and EasySwim Splash Software, which necessarily has to work with your data. The administration office, as well as third parties to whom personal data is made available, is obliged to respect the confidentiality of your personal data. We also impose this obligation – by means of a data processing agreement – on processors that we engage in providing our services.
In principle, we do not provide your personal data to third parties, unless this is necessary for providing our services or is done at your request. In addition, we make personal data available to third parties if a statutory provision or a court order requires us to do so.

Retention period
We do not keep your personal data for longer than is necessary for providing our service, unless a longer statutory retention period applies.

Communication
When you send us an email or other messages, these are stored in our data files. As a result of back-up procedures and the statutory obligation to retain records, these messages may be stored in accordance with the statutory retention period.

Security

We do our best to ensure that appropriate technical and organisational measures are taken to protect the personal data you provide against loss or any form of unlawful use. Non-digital documents are kept in a locked filing cabinet.

Accessing and changing personal data
You have the right to ask us for access to the personal data concerning you that we process. If you believe that this personal data is not (or no longer) correct or complete, you can ask us to supplement, improve, rectify or delete your personal data, or to restrict the processing of your personal data. You also have the right to transfer your personal data (or have it transferred) to a third party.
In addition, you expressly have the right to object to the processing of your personal data on grounds relating to your particular situation.
We will grant such requests as soon as possible or explain to you, with reasons, why your request cannot (yet) be carried out. You can send us your request or objection by email: info@zwemschooldepiranha.nl.

Complaints
Should you be of the opinion that we process your personal data in an improper or unlawful manner, and that we do not respond, or respond insufficiently, to your objection or to a request you have submitted as referred to above, you can file a complaint with the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (Dutch Data Protection Authority) in The Hague.

Identity
The sole proprietorship (Eenmanszaak) Zwemschool De Piranha is responsible for the processing of personal data that takes place in connection with our services and, in that context, is the controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (in Dutch: Algemene Verordening Gegevensbescherming, AVG):

Confidentiality

The services of Zwemschool De Piranha are subject to a duty of confidentiality (duty of secrecy) regarding all information it learns about a member.
In principle, Zwemschool De Piranha may only provide information about this to third parties with the consent of the member or their legal representative.

We reserve the right to change this privacy statement at any time and therefore advise you to review our privacy statement regularly.
